When I was 12, I asked Santa for a Helvetica Rounded.
When I was 16, I got paid for designing a webpage (1998).
When I was 18, I stepped into an ad agency for the first time.
When I was 22, I won my first Cannes Lion.
When I was 26, I said "Enough!" and quit advertising to start teaching it instead. I also directed a research project on Consumers & The Internet.
"Enough" only lasted a couple of years, though. I went back to advertising, fully convinced I was making a huge mistake—despite the 27 Cannes Lions I picked up in three different countries for over 10 different brands across almost every category. (Nice humble brag, Alejandro. Nice!)
When I'm not playing frisbee, browsing typefaces, or spending my paycheck on rare records, I dedicate all my efforts to researching and developing the best burger you'll ever try.
